Considering the success that Karlton Jones has enjoyed with multiple singles on the Smoothjazz.com and Mediabase Smooth Jazz charts (plus a #1 on the iTunes Nigeria chart!) these past few years, it's amazing to note that the cat renowned as "The Bruce Lee of Saxophone" was a hip-hop artist until 2007. That's when he heard the audible voice of God and had a near death experience that led him to devote his life and career to Gospel and Smooth Jazz music. The title of his second full length album PASSION PROJECT says it all to the combination of intricacy and intensity he brings to the mix of fresh, faith-driven instrumental and God-centered vocal tunes that range stylistically from pure silk to funky-thumping, capped with an ear poppin' rap-reggaeton closer.
