Of your touring and gigs so far in your career, do any stand out as being particularly memorable or defining moments? I'd say playing in my Hometown of Buffalo in front of 20,000 at Memorial Auditorium in 1991. It was the first place I saw a concert when I was 14. Who are some of your current favorite artists, Smooth Jazz or otherwise? Jesse Cook, Sting & Peter Gabriel At what point in your life did you make the decision to become a professional musician and actually record your own albums? Became a bassist in 1980, guitarist in 2000. First Solo CD "Dreamdance" in June of 2007. Second Solo CD "Paradise" in June 2009. What are you most proud of at this point in your life and career? Of course getting the gig with Bad Co. was a highlight, but honestly I am most proud of where I am right now. It was a long and tough road after BC. Through that I had the vision to become a solo artist, and because of hard work and meeting my current wife Bonnie, I have taken my career to a new and exciting level. And look forward to what the future has to bring. Outside of your musical career, what else in your life gets you excited and fulfilled? Italian Wine....Now that I work for an Italian Wine Importers "PortoVino" I have just touched the surface not only how historic the grapes are but how many varietals there are, sometimes indigenous to one region. It's been a wonderful learning experience especially because I'm half Italian. My Mom was full blooded "Tagliaferro." What’s your absolute favorite part of the World, and why? Italy !! It was a life changing experience. The beauty of the countryside, the wonderfully friendly people, the culinary treats, the amazing wine, the historic cities. Can't wait to go back in April !! |
