Though she started her musical life as a classically trained pianist and vocalist, Neika Simone – much like the legend whose name hers nearly sounds like – ultimately gravitated towards jazz with highlights of funk and smooth soul. Following the successful splash of her early 2022 EP BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS, her soul-pop new single “Picture Perfect” finds her using fascinating and insightful photography-related metaphors to convey clever insights on creating and sustaining a solid romantic relationship. The respected chorus, voice and piano teacher draws on her own experiences in overcoming numerous physical and emotional traumas – from health complications, divorce, and grief – allowing her to include vulnerability with her sultry cool musical sensibilities, bringing her most authentic self at her heartfelt best.
