Checking in at Monterey… so much to do in and around the Monterey Jazz Festival you’ll need a full week. We have golf, wineries, breathtaking day trips to Big Sur, amazing eateries in our little Peninsula cities like Carmel and Pacific Grove and of course all that jazz!

Be sure to rest up because there are late night after parties at the Hyatt where headliners are known to sit in until the wee hours… like Roy Hargrove this year who stretched the 1am end time to 2:30am before security had to clear the lobby bar.

Travel Tip: Book your hotel room EARLY! We call this an “event weekend” on the Monterey Peninsula and it pays to reserve as far out as you can! We also suggest that you wear shoes that make your feet happy, because the event is held at the Monterey Fairgrounds and requires a good bit of traversing throughout the day and night.
